Will hold up for someone who now works from home.I had high hopes for this keyboard tray. But today when it pulled out of my desk after I leaned on it a little bit I felt compelled to write this review.I got this tray a couple months ago and although it feels sturdy it is not.First off the instructions are a little wrong. They tell you to put it a certain distance from the edge of the desk but if you do so it will stick out when pushed all the way in. I moved it in another inch and it still will clear the edge of the desk if I want to raise it above the desk. Also, the sliding motion is difficult and sticky. I haven't tried greasing it which should help but I don't think it will fix it. It needs to have bearings. I was intrigued by the fact that it can lower and tilt with one knob. This does work well, however if you tilt it the mouse will slide off. Also my keyboard just fits so if you have a big keyboard it won't fit. And only the smallest keyboards will fit with the wrist guard. Now that it has ripped out the front three screws it bounces and leans as I write this review. I will try and fix it which means having to move the whole thing. If I were to do it over I would not buy this and instead get a tray with better support and bearings on the slider. I had a cheap plastic tray for years and it was better than this. It had storage under the wrist rest and went in with just a slight push.***UPDATE:I installed longer screws and put the included small ones in the empty holes. Hopefully this holds but I still think it would be much better with a track on each side. For now I will give back a star. I still haven't greased the track. I will update this review when I do.Easy to install in about 15-20 minutes. It is easy to adjust to the exact height and angle which is comfortable for me (you). It is oversized for my little Apple wireless keyboard, but I like the extra space so I can rest both arms comfortably on either side when I am not typing. I used the included mouse wrist pad - which wasn't necessary for the Apple Magic mouse - on the other side so I can rest my left arm on it. I have shoulder tendonitis on both sides so this has been a major improvement to my new shelter-in-place home office desk. The slide is solid so it stays in place when I am typing or just resting my arms on it while reading. I don't find it difficult to slide it in or out as one of the reviews mentioned.PS. I found it easy to install using my favorite Jorgensen handscrew clamp to line up the slide base and keep it secure while screwing it in. The double sided tape might have worked fine, but I found that lining it up underneath an upright desk was a little challenging. The tray can be installed for either right or left handed users.I have always used a keyboard tray. I'm short and most desks are too tall for comfortable typing unless my feet are dangling! :) This tray is great! The height is adjustable; the tilt of the tray is adjustable at any height, and; it swivels/rotates significantly left and right. It is very sturdy and seems to withstand significant pressure without issue. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that the sticky backing on the mouse wrist-rest isn't remotely sticky, so it doesn't stay in place as it should. It won't fall off the tray due to the lip on the edge of the tray, but the minor shifting of it when working is somewhat annoying. I'll just add some double-stick tape to hold it in place. It was very difficult to mount because my desk is shaped in a wide U shape and my two monitors are situated on each of two of the arms. I could not position it at the same angle as the "designated" desk because the shelf is wider and I would have been typing with my left hand under another section of the desk and I could not have opened a drawer in the third section of my desk.Although the shelf goes in/out and swivels left to right, I would have been happier if the shelf could also swivel on the arm-to-shelf axis, so I could better align myself in a comfortable position. I am far to lazy to remount it.(I am not sure if that made any sense but if not suffice it to say, if you are sitting at a uniquely shaped desk, it may not be flexible enough to meet your needs or you must really take the time to figure out if it is possible to mount it so it will both extend and retract fully (or settle for less.))Other than that, I love it: semi-easy to install, flexible to most needs, seems very sturdy although it has not yet passed the test of time, and easy enough for an old lady (yours truly)to push in and out.I wasn't completely sure I was going to like the drawer when I got it but it's done what I wanted it to so far! I'll give you my breakdown of the prime features:Pro: Able to raise and lower trayPro & Con: The ENTIRE tray swings from left to right. I'll explain it this way. Say the tray is your hand and the whole thing is from your forearm down. I thought that the tray would swivel (like waving your hand left to right) but it's the whole thing that swivels (like moving your entire forearm back and forth keeping the hand still).Installation was simple (I put it together with the desk upright and put together just have to use a little elbow grease) and it also has no slide pads for your keyboard that I GREATLY appreciate! Nothing worse when you're trying to play an MMO and your keyboard is another factor working against you!All in all I like this tray a lot! Just keep in mind when installed that you'll need a lot of clearance as it is quite a wide tray.I had bought three of these previously, approximately 3 years ago. Was recently informed that two of them were broken and had to be replaced. After trying to install both, it appeared that the stopper on one was the only issue, and the other one was truly broken, however I was able to take the parts I didn’t use and add a third to another workstation.I cannot review the product because not all the pieces were in the box. The track and screws were all there and the gel pads came as well but the platform for the keyboard to sit on was missing, so unfortunately I have to send it back. The return process has been very simple.Nice keyboard/mouse tray. The pads are comfortable. It was an easy install. Good adjustment variations.I got is as a used-like new warehouse deal for only $88 which was a steal ! Great quality and comfortEasy to install, works great. I love how it slides to fit under your desk so it gets out of he way. Only con is the knob and having to use that every time you want to adjust the tray. Otherwise, it's great
