As you can see from my photos, I have a very small desk space. I needed to get most of that back if possible. I’m sure there are more risers out there to address this goal, but I’m broke and needed something less expensive and wanted it to match the silver case on the computer. I came across this and it seemed to be the perfect color match on a tiny budget. I’ve had this for around a month or so, and my iMac has been sitting on it since the day it was delivered. I was very concerned that it was too flimsy to hold my iMac, which is why I waited so long to review. I wanted to allow a fair amount of time to pass with the computer on it, before I reviewed. I must say that I’m pleasantly surprised with its durability. It’s thin plastic, BUT the design seems to redistribute the weight appropriately, so as not to put too much strain in the center where it sits. I feel like there’s a very minor “sag” below the computer, but it’s not near the sag I expected after a month and sliding it around on the desk frequently to position things. I’m very happy with this purchase, at least for now, as it’s addressed my goal of regaining some desk space while remaining cheap and sleek. I don’t see any real danger of a problem in the near future. I wouldn’t, however, put anything heavier on it for long periods. Most modern monitors/PCs/all-in-ones should do fine. But definitely mind the weight limits!
