Upon opening the package I saw that the bottom of this tray consists of two sheets of glass plus the matte that separates the photo areas. Other picture trays I have purchased have a sturdy backing under the glass. Given the size of the tray I do not think that it is sturdy enough to hold as much weight as a tray this size should be able to hold. I would be afraid of the glass breaking.Upon investigating Adorama's return policy I found out that even though I got free shipping (and they offer free shipping on this item if you order it directly from them), they are going to subtract their standard shipping costs from my refund. On top of that, they instruct me to return the item freight prepaid insured. I called UPS and that alone will cost me $13.62. I don't know what Adorama's standard shipping cost is but between that and the $13.62 UPS charge it is likely that I will not be getting any refund at all and may end up in the hole after returning it. This sucks bigtime!I bought it as a thank you gift for friends who let us use their beach condo and inserted scenic photographs that I had taken. They loved it and I liked the tray so much that I bought one for myself.I will be sending this item back. The wood is very thin and in general this does not look very good especially on how much I paid for it.
